Flowcal Scientific Calibration Laboratory

Flowcal Scientific maintains specialised calibration facilities for Anemometers, Air Flow Balancing Hoods,
Low Range Pressure Instruments, Humidity Meters, Temperature Meters, and Hand Tachometers.

The laboratory complies with the applicable Australian Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005
(General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories)

Qualified and experienced instrument technicians perform all calibrations using certified reference standards traceable to National or International Standards of measurement.

Turn around time is typically 3 working days. By calling ahead and scheduling specific calibrations,
a 24 to 48 hour turn around time can be achieved for most items at no extra cost.

Calibration of Anemometers

• Calibration available for air flow velocities from 0.3 to 16 m/s (24 m/s available soon)
• All makes/types calibrated including rotating vane, rotating cup, thermal (hot-wire), velometer, and
pitot tube/manometer systems
• Traceable calibration certificate supplied

Calibration of Air Flow Balancing Hoods

• Calibration available for air flow rates from 0 to 900 L/s in both supply and exhaust modes
• All makes/types calibrated including digital and analogue meters
• Traceable calibration certificate supplied

Calibration of Low Range Pressure Instruments

• Calibration available for pressures from 0 to 1000 kPa
• All makes/types of manometers and gauges calibrated
• Traceable calibration certificate supplied

Calibration of Humidity Meters

• Calibrations available for humidity from 20 to 95%RH
• All makes/types of meters calibrated
• Traceable calibration certificate supplied

Calibration of Temperature Meters

• Calibration available for temperatures from 0 to 60C
• All makes/types of meters calibrated
• Traceable calibration certificate supplied

Calibration of Hand Tachometers

• Calibration available for speeds from 0 to 10,000 r/min
• All makes/types of optical and contact hand tachometers calibrated
• Traceable calibration certificate supplied

Repair and Service

Repair/servicing of your test instruments is also available and performed by qualified instrument technicians.
After your instrument is received at our facility, a thorough check is made of the instrument. We then
provide you with a firm price and full description of the service to be performed for your final approval.
