AirGard® Air Flow Monitors
The
AirGard 350CEM and 315BSC Air Flow Monitors continuously monitor
and indicate air flow levels in critical environments. Both models
feature wide velocity ranges to accurately measure air flow across
HEPA filters or in exhaust ducts. The AirGard 410-HE Hazardous Environments
Monitor is specifically designed to monitor air flow in explosion-proof
lab hoods or hoods that are used in environments where all equipment
must be explosion-proof or intrinsically safe. All these models
are easy to install, making them an excellent choice for both new
installations and retrofits.
Alnor AirGard Air Flow Monitors measure the exhaust of bio-safety
cabinets and other hoods using a remote probe inserted in the air
flow stream of the exhaust duct. The sensing probe of 350CEM and
315BSC Monitors measures the velocity in the exhaust duct and displays
important information on a module mounted on the face of the bio-safety
cabinet. The 410-HE Monitor uses a pressure averaging tube mounted
in the exhaust duct, a pressure switch mounted on top of the lab
hood, and a display module mounted to the face of the lab hood to
monitor and indicate exhaust duct pressure.
When the velocity or pressure drops below a user-determined level,
all AirGard Air Flow Monitors activate an audible alarm, visual
alarm, and relay output. This alerts personnel that the air flow
at the face of the lab hood or bio-safety cabinet is inadequate.
The 315BSC monitor has jumbo LEDs to indicate safe, marginal, or
low duct exhaust and sounds an audible alarm during low duct exhaust
conditions. The 350CEM monitor adds a digital bar graph as a trend
analysis tool and a hidden digital velocity display to aid in the
diagnosis of problem exhaust flows. The 350CEM monitor also has
a high flow alarm to help detect excessive exhaust air flow; this
is a powerful preventative maintenance and diagnostic tool. The
410-HE Hazardous Environments Monitor indicates unsafe air flow
with a red LED and an audible alarm. In addition, all AirGard Air
Flow Monitors can report unsafe air flow conditions to other personnel
in a remote location by means of a relay output.
Installation and set-up of the Alnor AirGard Air Flow Monitors is
quick and easy. The 350CEM and 315BSC Monitors can be either flush
or kit mounted. A single point field calibration is recommended
for the 350CEM Monitor; the 315BSC Monitor requires setting the
low alarm set point. The 410-HE Monitor is kit-mounted and requires
setting the low alarm set point.
